South African multi-award-winning artist Kingdmusic has released his fifth studio album, Joy — a musical journey through faith, hope, and inspiration that resonates across generations.

Two Years of Creative Vision
The album Joy took two years to complete, with Kingdmusic working closely with executive producer Lufuno Muthala. Drawing inspiration from 70s and 80s South African pop, early 2000s bubblegum sounds, and old-school R&B, the album blends nostalgic music with heartfelt Christian messages.
Kingdmusic emphasizes the ease of the process, thanks to a shared vision and team who understood the message he wanted to deliver.
Personal Inspiration: “Hallelujah”
The first song written for the album, “Hallelujah”, was inspired by the birth of Kingdmusic’s daughter. Spending time with his parents while learning the ropes of fatherhood sparked the creative moment that would become a key track on the album.
Seeing this song come to life after two years brought Kingdmusic both joy and a deep sense of fulfillment.
Global Collaborations
Joy features collaborations with One House, Isaiah Roberts, Luma Elpidio, and Mégan Rose. Notable tracks include the “Fire” remix featuring Isaiah and One House Music, and a bilingual English-Portuguese version of “Jesus” for Kingdmusic’s growing Brazilian audience.
TikTok engagement alone shows the album’s global impact, with over 140,000 videos created using its tracks.
Music for Everyone
Kingdmusic intentionally designed the album to resonate with diverse audiences. While grounded in Christian belief, anyone — Muslim, Christian, or non-religious — can enjoy the music while connecting with its positive and uplifting messages.
