The African Apostolic Church (VaApostora veAfrica) confirmed the news early yesterday morning. Bishop J. Mhizha delivered a solemn message to congregants, expressing the pain felt across the church:

“Our Archbishop Paul Mwazha of Africa, our Church Leader, has just passed on. He has departed from us, but in Spirit we are together with him.”

The church further noted that official announcements and detailed programs will be released in due course as the church enters its period of formal mourning.

Born in 1918, Archbishop Mwazha lived through a century of change — spiritually guiding millions, providing counsel to families, and leading one of Zimbabwe’s biggest indigenous churches with humility, wisdom, and unwavering devotion.
